چکیده
The use of medicinal plants played a crucial role in human survival for many years. Papea capensis is used mostly the Northern part South Africa and neighboring countries. woody tree was collected, shade dried, powdered. extraction experiments (ethanolic extract, methanol water extract) were done at Synexa Life Sciences. For purpose identifying biochemical elements present wood portion Pappea capensis, extracts concentrated analyzed using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy Central Analytical Facilities (CAF), University Stellenbosch, Africa. GC-MS identified 41 compounds which included 4-ethylbenzaldehyde, 2, 4-diter- butyl phenol, acetic acid, butanoic have antioxidant, antimicrobial, antitumor, antifungal effects. Regardless their quantities, seven (7) unidentified phytochemical substances discovered; existence may favourable effect on therapeutic agents be source biological activities ascribed to them by conventional healers. Furthermore, it holistic plant traditional medicine aesthetic value among indigenous communities Limpopo due several varied chemical components that been found. three must fractionated according bioassay-guidance identify pure establish ones are physiologically active. plants, being only sources healers rely treatment patients, received tremendous attention drug therapy, discovery, development. These studies demonstrated with potential phytopharmaceuticals.

متن کاملCharacterization of volatiles and aroma-active compounds in honeybush (Cyclopia subternata) by GC-MS and GC-O analysis.
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in fermented honeybush, Cyclopia subternata, were sampled by means of a high-capacity headspace sample enrichment probe (SEP) and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Stereochemistry was determined by means of enantioselective GC-MS with derivatized β-cyclodextrin columns as chiral selectors. A total of 183 compounds, the majority of which ...
متن کاملChemical Analysis of Pesticides Using GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, and LC/MS/MS
There are well over 500 registered pesticides worldwide for use in agricultural regions and new agrochemicals are introduced to the marketplace continuously. This chapter deals with the chemical analysis methods for the main pesticide chemical classes that are most frequently analyzed with gas chromatography (GC) or liquid chromatography (LC) coupled to mass spectrometry (MS). GC amenable pesti...
